Ferreira (w/ Eldon Somers) -from Nashville, TN -R.A.P. Ferreira fka milo aka scallops hotel is an mc, producer and theorist working in the Black arts tradition commonly categorized as rap. Having founded the label ruby yacht in 2015 and since releasing all of his music through this channel, Ferreira has earned a sizable following within independent hip hop by rigorous, constant touring and an elevated, explorational style of performance. He is known for an uncompromised, utopic flow that speaks directly to the root of the listener. By 2018, the young artist galvanized his presence in the American rap scene with the opening of Soulfolks Records & Tapes in Biddeford, Maine. Ferreira has a sprawling, limitless catalog ranging years, names, geographies, intentions, collaborations, and vocabularies. In an era defined by keyword search, soundbyte, cosign, marketing and virality this artist’s work stands out by not cow tailing to the movements and trends of the digital sphere. He currently makes his home in Nashville, Tennessee where he continues to helm the Ruby Yacht while studying to become a blues guitar legend and a farmer. AJ Suede -from Seattle, WA -Known for his psychedelic amalgamation of East Coast and Northwest sounds, Seattle based rapper/producer AJ Suede has carved a lane of his own. With a prolific discography of over 40 projects, he shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon. He has shared the stage with the likes of Lil Uzi Vert, Xavier Wulf, R.A.P. Ferreira, Marc Rebillet and many more. With features in outlets like SPIN, The Seattle Times, KEXP, Okayplayer and Lyrical Lemonade just to name a few. Mars Kumari -from Davis, CA -The youngest and newest member of Deadverse Recordings, Mars Kumari has been making and releasing music since 2014. She amalgamates her heady blend of dark ambient, witch house, hip hop, industrial, trip hop and hauntology into a sound that is wholly her own. Immersed in varied styles and genres, Mars (Marcelina Kumari) was influenced by artists such as Flying Lotus, Earl Sweatshirt, Lil Ugly Mane, Boards of Canada, Mndsgn, Slowdive, Dälek, Burial, The Caretaker, Oneohtrix Point Never, Hallmark ’87 and Portishead. Her self-released albums Anhedonic Mirages and Elysian Mourning (Bandcamp) laid the foundation for what would be her debut album on Deadverse Recordings. 2021’s Mars Kumari Type Beat is a journey into the mind of this enigmatic new artist. The album is an interconnected collection of lo-fi, atmospheric, dense, lush soundscapes and hypnotic raw beats. Futuristic, yet with an ear to what sounds classic, one can easily be blissfully lost within these songs. Each listen provides the listener with new hooks and sonics to gravitate towards. Mars is already hard at work collaborating with various artists, producing for East Coast Hip Hop collective I’ll Never Die, and recording new solo material.
