Originally from a small town in Northern CA, York’s music reflects a slower pace through his melancholy melodies, thoughtful lyrics, and laid back tempos. His debut album titled “You Are My Sanity”, was released in February 2018. Primarily recorded in the Hyde St. building in SF, it’s raw production and minimalistic approach adds to the heart of each song while providing the listener with an honest and relatable experience. Over the course of 2018, Ashton was able to build a decent listener base online, with “Beach Song” garnering nearly 200,000 organic plays on Spotify, as well as over 1.5 million hits on YouTube via Alex Rainbird’s Winter Compilation. His music has since been met with encouraging reviews on indie music publications, and a growing dedicated fanbase. In March 2019, Ashton released a live-tracked and intimate acoustic EP titled “Ellewood”, followed by 2021’s 4-track project “Nine-Ninety”. York spent a year in Long Beach writing and demo-ing his next full length project, “Nightmare In Your Arms”, which was released November of 2022. Kacie Hill -from San Francisco, CA -Kacie Hill is an indie-folk/rock singer-songwriter whose music attempts to bring meaning to the mundane through conversational yet poignant lyricism, and draws similarities to some of her favorites artists, such as Joni Mitchell and Phoebe Bridgers. Ezekiel Ketcham -from San Francisco, CA -Hosts Bazaar Cafe's "Sad Song Happy Hour" and open mic. Member of Harlow's Monkeys and Lonely Dingos. |
