Our family-friendly show is a modern and energized rethink of the enduring melodies of those Monkees chart-toppers, but with big guitar riffs, soaring guitar solos, uplifting grooves, and textured vocals. While we are the ONLY tribute act celebrating the Monkees with a ferocious and exuberant musical mash-up, all the sing-along charm of the original tracks—such as "I'm A Believer," "Mary, Mary," and "Pleasant Valley Sunday"—is intact. So, feel free to raise your voices and sing with us! Headliners such as L.A. Guns, Berlin, X, Los Straitjackets, the Vibrators, the Empty Hearts, and Gary Hoey have asked us to open their shows, because they know we bring the party to warm up their fans. We also mix well with fellow tribute acts, and have joined bills with Zepparella, Get The Led Out (Led Zeppelin), Hell's Belles (AC/DC), and the Jean Genies (David Bowie). Here we come... Monkey -from San Francisco, CA -MONKEY is a 5 piece high-energy organ driven, Ska/Reggae group from the SF Bay Area. Their intense live shows and rock-steady rhythms not only get the crowds dancing, it has won them several awards, like the prestigious California Music Award! MONKEY has 4 full-length albums, and has also been featured on over 25 compilations, video games and film soundtracks, including the independent horror-comedy Russ Meyer tribute “Pervert the Movie” on Stag Films. MONKEY has toured the U.S., Europe, Great Britain, Canada, & Mexico. MONKEY has supported world class acts like: Bad Manners, The Specials, The English Beat, The Skatalites, Fishbone, The Slackers, Hepcat and many more... Screaming Bloody Marys (and Special Guest ) -from Bay Area, CA -Screaming Bloody Marys are a San Francisco Bay Area punk band established in late1988 during the grunge era, playing up and down the west coast with bands like Dwarves, Supersuckers, L7, did a few dates with Soundgarden and many more, after their first 7" single came out on Die Laughing records 1989 then re-released 1991 on Sympathy for The Record Industry called "Bloody Bath", SBM began touring the next several years across the states and Canada touring with bands like The Didgits, The Gargoyles, Raw Power, Dwarves, MDC, Lagwagon, The Vibrators, UK Subs, English Dogs, Flesheaters ,The Lazy Cowgirls, Johnny Thunders... From 1992-1994 SBM would release several singles on Puncrock records, I-94 records, Industrial Strength records, Wallabies records (Japan), Smut Pedlurz Disks, Frisbee records. Mordent split with The Vibrators. 1995 Screaming Bloody Marys would be recognized by Maurices (Manic Hispanic) and Steve Soto (Adolescence) both work for Dr Dream Records /Mercury Records Group and they had signed SBM to the label. The Debuted full Length "Get in Get Off Get out" Produced by East Bay Ray and his added guitar work, it would chart at The Virgin Mega in San Francisco and New York for 5 weeks. 1996 toured Europe for 3 weeks and Japan 1 week with bands Raw Power, The Members, The Vibrators, Teengenerate, Guitar Wolf. 1997 working on the follow up record for Dr Dream Records the band imploded and the breakup. 2015 Return of Screaming Bloody Marys on the request of Dick Manitoba of The Dictators SBM would play The Dictators reunion along with D.O.A at Slims in San Francisco it was a a success. Screaming Bloody Marys returns with lineup changes throughout the year and now a solid lineup, that consist of Greg Langston (Sea Hags, No Alternative) Mike Tringali (The Next/The Dix) John Hansen (Savage Resurrection) Dave Dalton (Cell Block 5/Unfortunate Bastards), now on P.I.G.records, new record coming out called "Tupppence" 2023 Mastered by Jack Endino (Nirvana/Soundgarden).
