The Lighting Section
-from San Francisco, CA
-The Lighting Section is never satisfied to stick to one genre for too long, recently offering a one-two punch of singles that travel from indie to shoegaze to darkwave to alternative, all in ten and a half minutes. Their debut EP “Put a Quarter in the Washing Machine” comes out August 4th and continues the musical whiplash while maintaining their affinity for dissonance and harmony-laden 90’s flair.

Cartoon Hearts
-from San Jose, CA
-Cartoon Hearts is the latest project from Bay Area musician Jay Chiorean. His upcoming self-released debut album “Falling Out of Love Overnight” alchemizes gritty rock and ear-pleasing pop into something that sounds both familiar and new. Cartoon Hearts combines catchy choruses and infectious riffs with poignant and powerful lyrics, creating pop music with teeth and substance.

Silent Pictures
-from Stanford, CA
-Silent Pictures is a bay area band seasoned with all the traditions and elements of British shoegaze and psychedelia. The Silent Pictures sound has been described as a mélange of shoegaze with a strong Roxy Music presence in their sound. Combining elements of shoegaze and dreampop, the sound could so easily be misinterpreted, they create a warm bubble around their music, giving it a sense of stability and control. A Silent Pictures live show has been described as a long lingering moment.
