On May 5th, 2023 the band will be celebrating the release of their sophomore EP with an album to follow in the fall. The music sits in an incredibly catchy pocket that makes it undeniably pop- while serving syncopated rhythms and counter melodies that add complexity. Rooted in the electric guitar, the arrangements create the effect of a much larger band. The dual leads have their own distinct voices that seamlessly blend into complex harmonies. They are often seen switching instruments during the live set which creates an entertaining visual element. The BABERS catalog is a masterclass in dynamics: soft spoken lyrics and gentle harmonies open the songs like a conversation and then build to reveal the furthest limits of their individual vocal ranges over rock arrangements. This is the followup release to their first album which was released in March of 2020. The original release show was delayed due to Covid but the band later celebrated with a headlining show at The Troubadour in December of 2021. Hear In Color -from East Bay, CA -Hear In Color is an alternative/indie/shoegaze group from the East Bay. Originally formed at Diablo Valley College in 2019, the band has released 5 singles and put out their debut EP entitled Last Thoughts back in February 2021. The group consists of: Faith Donithan - Lead Vocals Gerardo González - Keys/Guitar/Backing Vocals Elias Lozano - Bass Guitar Isaiah Selva - Guitar/Keys/Backing Vocals Valente McNamer - Drums Small Million -from Portland, OR -The Portland-based indie pop outfit Small Million flows from the collaboration of longtime creative partners Ryan Linder and Malachi Graham, who weld deeply affecting sonic production to smart lyrics about intuition and inhibition, losing control and ending up in unexpected places, bodies hurt and bodies joyful. The effect is both intimate and epic, delicate and fierce, drawing comparisons to The Cranberries and Florence + the Machine. Small Million is celebrating the release of their new album Passenger on Tender Loving Empire Records. While Linder and Graham have been writing as a duo for a decade, with 2018’s Young Fools EP finding an audience on Spotify with over 2.5M streams, for their newest chapter they've expanded the band, enlisting Ben Tyler (Small Skies) on drums and Kale Chesney (Lo Pony) on bass and harmonies, expanding the band’s sound from their synth pop origins to encompass more organic, raw indie rock energy |
