The Kegels -from San Francisco, CA -San Francisco California based Punk and Roll band. Begun in 2007 with several self produced EP's; The Kegels have become an SF bay area staple with their 2012 Release of the single "No Tomorrow" and album of the same name. A sophomore release titled "Our War" will be released in 2017. Local Bylaws -from San Francisco, CA -Since forming in 2021, Bay Area’s LOCAL BYLAWS have harnessed pure energy into their brand of ferocious, female-fronted punk rock. Ginger Pennington, Alex Rocheleau, and Tyler Cull, having met online, found an easy alliance when they realized they were all union workers (a UBC carpenter, an IBEW electrician, and a SAG-AFTRA actress), and this connection translated well into the music, lending an all-for-one ethos to their blue collar, glam-yet-gritty debut EP, Working Agreement. 2023 begins a new era, with a more mature 5-piece sound, owing to the addition of Nico Suarez and Brian Colli from the Kegels. The band recorded a new full-length album with Ryan Perras (Dan Andriano, Lektron, Asian Man Records), which was mixed & mastered by Jack Shirley (Jeff Rosenstock, Deafheaven), which will come out in early 2024, along with three mini-tours. The new sound is equal parts distortion and harmony, drum-heavy and lyrically dense, but still poppy enough to sing along to. |
