The band consists of vocalist, Horacio O’Brien-Ferres, guitarist, Paolo Von Giordano, and drummer, Mikey Rhinehart. . Together, they’ve fashioned a mix of their influences, such as new wave, electronic music , synth-pop, and indie-rock. New Diplomat has worked with Dan the Automator (Gorillaz), Devon Corey ( Bebe Rexha) and Jeff Saltzman (The Killers and Blondie). Their recent, self-titled album was released in February 2023, and was followed by an animation video premiere of the song, "Away We Go". New Diplomat is currently preparing for a 2024 tour. The Undercurrent -from San Francisco, CA -The Undercurrent is the San Francisco-based indie duo of Wendy Chuah and Paul Zielinski. The two first met in 2015, and small talk quickly turned into meaningful songwriting. With Wendy as an expressive vocalist and lyricist, and Paul as an experienced producer and multi-instrumentalist, they have been able to play off each other’s artistic strengths and sensibilities to create a soulful, indie pop sound with a distinct California vibe. As their name suggests, despite their often contrary musical tastes, an underlying force allows the duo to meet in the in-between — combining driving beats, layered guitar riffs, memorable melodies, and tying it all together with heartfelt lyrics. The Undercurrent is joined live on stage by Chris Kelly on drums, Jack Sundquist on bass, and Dave Hilbert on guitar. Chroma Sea -from San Francisco, CA -Chroma Sea is a multimedia project by Michael Valenzuela and Paul Ouellette. Cartoon Hearts -from San Jose, CA -Cartoon Hearts is the latest project from Bay Area musician Jay Chiorean. His upcoming self-released debut album “Falling Out of Love Overnight” alchemizes gritty rock and ear-pleasing pop into something that sounds both familiar and new. Cartoon Hearts combines catchy choruses & infectious riffs with poignant & powerful lyrics, creating pop music with teeth and substance. HuffyStuff -from San Francisco, CA -Huffy just wants to have fun. Genres blur as Huffy keeps it grooving, funky, and eclectic. He’d rather read a crowd than stick to a script. When not on the road, Huffy holds down current SF residencies at Blackthorn and Global Grooves. The goal is always funky fun. |
