Powerhouse
-from Oakland, CA
-Oakland's Powerhouse got started in the early 90's and were a very influential hardcore band on the West Coast. Playing a NYHC
inspired style of hardcore got them noticed on both coasts and it wasn't long before Powerhouse was playing with the biggest names
of the day in NY and in their home state (and beyond).

Alcatraz

* * * VIOLENT COERCION IS BACK! * * *
Apologies, y'all... I have been f*cking lagging on updating this page lately.  Sorry about that.  I lost my job, and blah blah blah...
However, some things are worth posting about, and THIS is one of them --- especially for us old-time Bay Area hardcore-punk metalhead thrashers.
ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT founding member Eric McIntire has just joined up with members of Public Enema, Kicker, and Special Forces for their revival of the almighty VIOLENT COERCION!
If you don't know Violent Coercion, don't feel bad. What you're about to hear is the only thing they released --- a beefy hardcore sledgehammer that to me sounds like a mix of REST IN PIECES and a heavier D.R.I., and maybe some EXCEL.
And by the way, the MAIN reason you never heard more from Violent Coercion is that they soon changed their name --- and their sound --- to NEUROSIS.  (Yes, THAT Neurosis.)
