Together, the college student crew constitutes an unabashed, genre-bending sensation. Bug Seance -from Portland, OR -Bug Seance is a 5-piece heavy/dreamy outfit based in Portland, OR. In its five years of existence, the project has evolved to become a thoughtfully crafted blend of hardcore, emo, post-rock, and shoegaze elements. Last year, Bug Seance had the opportunity to play with emo legends Algernon Cadwallader on their west coast reunion tour. Bug Seance has also played alongside acts such as Glacier Veins, Glitterer, Fred Mascherino (of Taking Back Sunday), MAITA, and Soft Kill. Since 2021 the Bugs have embarked on two west coast tours, a couple runs in Washington state, and a week-long east coast tour. Their upcoming EP promises to be their best work yet, professionally recorded in Portland and layered with twinkly synth lines, reverberating vocals, and distorted guitar riffs.
