Through album's like 2010's Racey Roller and 2015's Speak No Evil, the Roman quintet built a sturdy international fan base, touring across Europe and the U.S. and eventually signing with American label Burger Records to release their fourth outing, 2019's E.V.A. Jonny Manak & The Depressives -from San Jose, CA -Formed in 2006, JM&D is a wild combination of rock n’ roll influences from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. There are elements of surf rock, punk and garage rock littered throughout their songs. Jonny has played guitar, bass or drums in bands such as The Cliftons, Clay Wheels, Fang, Texas Thieves, The Forgotten, The Odd Numbers, The Resistoleros and a ton of other bands you'll never hear of. Influences include Chuck Berry, Dead Boys, Dick Dale, Link Wray, Little Richard, The Sonics, The Rolling Stones, Iggy and The Stooges, David Bowie, The Ramones, Johnny Thunders, bla, bla, bla, bla... The Depressives have played shows throughout the the Western US and Europe. Since 2006, they've released 6 full length albums on CD, Vinyl, Cassette and Digitally. The band has played hundreds of shows at clubs, skateparks and outdoor festivals. Their songs have been used in skateboard, snow board and surfing videos, Verizon vcast videos, as well as song placements in TV shows aired on MTV (Viva La Bam, Home Wreckers, Nitro Circus, Fantasy Factory, Ridiculousness, Maui Fever, The Dudesons), Fuel TV (Vans Protech Pool Party) and Fuse TV. Needless to say, their music is getting out there. So What -from Oakland, CA -They call their sound "Hard 'gum", as in hard bubblegum- the kind the cuts the roof of your mouth. Oakland group playing Junkshop Glam/Bubblegum/Proto-punk insanity. They are the 4-headed bastard child of The Equals, Jook, and pre-disco Giorgio Moroder.
