Playing hundreds of shows a year has allowed them to hone in their musical and songwriting skills alike. With 2023 summer tour sellouts ranging from Washington DC’s 9:30 Club, Charleston’s Windjammer, New York City’s Bowery Ballroom, and countless more, The Stews have proven that they are a musical force to be reckoned with. The summer tour even featured a venue record-breaking 800+ day-of-show tickets sold at Avondale Brewing in Birmingham, AL. In addition to the aforementioned legendary venues, The Stews played to packed out, ravenous crowds at Bonnaroo, Sweetwater 420Fest, and Roosterwalk. The band drove straight from their summer tour finale at Appleton, Wisconsin’s Mile of Music to meet up with Moon Taxi to support their fall tour. After months on the roading supporting Moon Taxi, the band returned home to Charleston, SC to finish up their second studio album. With thousands of tickets sold across a three night NYE run in Charlotte, Savannah, and Atlanta, the band capped off a record breaking year. Looking forward to 2024, The Stews are thrilled to release this new music to a starving audience. The album can’t be confined to one genre, as fans will find songs reminiscent of The Allman Brothers, Audioslave, Pink Floyd, and Rainbow Kitten Surprise to name a few. Trestles -from Santa Cruz, CA -Trestles is an independent beach rock project from Santa Cruz, California. The band is comprised of Hunter Kelly (vocals/guitar), Jackson Jones (guitar/vocals), Sophia Wall (bass/vocals), and Malena Clark (drums/vocals). Formed out of the ashes of Jones and Kelly’s garage rock project Speedwalker, Trestles developed a fun surf inspired indie rock sound with the release of their debut single Dwell. In 2021, the band began a rampant series of D.I.Y. shows in the Santa Cruz circuit becoming a common name at UCSC parties and house shows. In 2022, Trestles started releasing new music with the full band leading up to the release of their first LP. The single “Rip Curl Sweatshirt”, became their biggest hit through Spotify playlist features. Through this the band built a loyal local following and became a Santa Cruz mainstay at venues like The Catalyst and Urbani’s Cellar. Trestles first full length album “Halfway Up The Hill” was released in December of 2022. The self-produced debut went on to garner over 500,000 streams on Spotify prompting the band to hit the road. After playing massive support sets for Movements, Scowl, and Destroy Boys, the band embarked on their first west coast run. In 2023, the band went on an 8 date tour with Mom Cars and Career Woman further establishing themselves as one of California's up-and-comers. The tour concluded in November with a support set for Sun Room, Trestles biggest show yet. Dovetail -from Oakland, CA -grunge-ish band from OAkland, CA |
