Following the release of their 2024 sophomore LP “The Boy Who Ran the Paisley Hotel,” on Slumberland Records, Chime School embarked on tours of the US West Coast, the United Kingdom, France, and Spain. Now a fully-fledged jangle-pop juggernaut, Chime School return to San Francisco for a headline appearance at Bottom of the Hill, before they head back to the UK this July to play the sold-out Glas-Goes-Pop Festival. Remedy & Wren -from San Francisco, CA -Remedy & Wren is the new project led by songwriter Alicia Vanden Heuvel (The Aislers Set, Poundsign, Magic Trick) along with Tony Molina on guitar, Dan Lee on guitar (The Aislers Set, Scrabbel), and Becky Barron on drums (Poundsign, Kids on A Crime Spree). Ramshackle pop in the vein of The Shop Assistants, Black Tambourine with touches of 60’s girl group harmonies. Alicia’s songwriting is remniscent of her work with Poundsign and the Aislers Set. Jangly pop and hooky melodies with fuzzy bass complimented by Barron’s energetic drums, Dan and Tony’s jangly reverb-laden guitars.
