While most other groups have looked more to the past in an attempt to be more of a revival or throwback, Sex Mex looks just as much into the future using various sound techniques to replicate a complete band. Sex Mex doesn’t exist as a band from the past, not because those ideas weren’t there, but because the technology wasn’t there. Pork Belly -from San Francisco, CA -Janky post-punk from SF. Cape Fury -from San Francisco, CA -From SF's frothy Mission District, Cape Fury is a nautical garage trio. Mixing 60s raw garage rock melodies with 80s post-punk band influences, nobody does a nautical theme band better.
