Astronauts, etc. -from Northern CA -Astronauts, etc. (AETC) is one of the half-dozen monikers of northern California producer Anthony Ferraro. A genre interloper by nature, Ferraro consolidates his pop-leaning releases under the AETC heading, though each varies in its sonic makeup. 2015’s Mind Out Wandering drew comparisons to the Bee Gees and Philadelphia soul, while 2018’s Living in Symbolemerged from a weird brew of 60’s library music, Brazilian psych-jazz, and outsider private pressings. AETC has re-emerged in 2025 with the eclectic EP The Funny Man Is Laughing With You and a newly announced third LP, Professional Void. The latter is a product of modern tensions: the internet eats the world as its denizens crave the real. Side A tilts toward cloud rock while side B reaches back for earth.
