Charlie Bishop -from CA -Charlie Bishop writes simple and honest songs. He grew up in New England, but a few years ago, he packed up and headed west, landing in Northern California, and making a new home without ever really leaving the old one behind. His songs are filled with late-night thoughts, people he’s loved, and the ones he left behind. From a makeshift studio in his basement, he records everything raw and unpolished. He plays up and down the West Coast, sometimes solo, sometimes with a band. His first full-length album is coming in Spring 2025. Emory Duncan -from Houston, TX -Hey, my name’s Emory. Nice to meet ya. I was born in Houston, Texas, but now I live in a little log cabin tucked away beneath the redwoods in the Santa Cruz mountains. It’s quiet here, and the absence of city noise gives my mind room to breathe. Often the way I feel about something is only revealed to me after I’ve written about it. Songwriting is my way of processing, getting in touch with my subconscious, and allowing myself the space to observe all the intrusive emotions we feel more comfortable shutting out. I don’t know what I’m doing either, but I know that writing and singing songs is when I feel the most like myself. Learning to work through my inner critic and inner ramblings about what other people might think of me is an ongoing practice. It’s my hope to inspire someone to do that thing that can’t live without, to be willing to be bad at first. And then to overcome the ever present fear of failure and do it unapologetically and fiercely. I’m pretty open about who I am, transparency is something I strive for. I’d love to hear from you. Feel free to send me a message and say hey! I wouldn’t be able to do this without you, and I can’t thank you enough for listening. I hope my songs inspire you to question things, internal as often as external. And I hope they make a meaningful soundtrack to your drives through the mountains and nights shared with good friends around a campfire, as much as the moments when you’re feeling too much and don’t have the words.
