Fireball Ministry
-from Los Angeles, CA
-From the beginning, FIREBALL MINISTRY has aggressively steered clear of pretension, desperation for validation, and all manner of poseurdom, throwing down analog-soaked, bottom-heavy tunes, and tipping a hat toward timeless hard rock, without ever descending into the depths of mere retread or throwaway novelty swill. Sabbath soaked rhythms, Priest worshipping melodies, and no-nonsense Thin Lizzy mayhem collide in the Hollywood, California band, a group that has humbly but confidently flown the flag for rock authenticity since the hard-partying year of 1999.

The list of legendary icons that have invited Fireball Ministry to share their stages reads like a crucial discography of desert island riffs: Blue Oyster Cult, Uriah Heap, Alice Cooper, Judas Priest, Slayer, Danzig, Anthrax, Rob Zombie, Motörhead, Dio, Megadeth, and Zakk Wylde’s tribute trio, Zakk Sabbath. They’re an essential part of the festival landscape, regularly appearing at crucial events like Psycho Las Vegas and Motörhead’s Motörboat cruise

Zed
-from San Jose, CA
-ZED makes rock the way it should be made. Loud guitars, a shot of whiskey and a middle finger. Taking it cues from the greats like Zeppelin, Sabbath and AC/DC, but combining them with their contemporary musical influences such as Clutch, Rage Against the Machine and Queens of the Stone Age, creating a mixture that is new, yet familiar.

Blackwülf
-from Oakland, CA
-Blackwulf prowl the musical feeding grounds of stoner rock, doom-cloaked soundscapes and vintage heavy metal. Dark sonic forests that provide coverage for their unholy mix of parapsychological anger and aggression and bluesy, headbanging riffs.

With a resume that includes member stints with bands like San Francisco’s Acid King, The Nads, Tucson’s Naked Prey and Mountain Pig Blackwülf is already a seasoned predator. Formed in 2012, it wasn’t until January of last year that the band unleashed their debut album Mind Traveller on Wicker Man Recordings, pressed on clear red vinyl and featuring jacket illustrations from acclaimed San Franciscan artist Alan Forbes (Queens Of The Stone Age, The Misfits). The record, much like Blackwülf themselves was unabashed in its typical, “What you see is what you get” aesthetic. Heavy stoner riffs melded to sincere, pure rock indulgence that has since paved the way for the self-released 7” split single ‘Acid Reign’ with Portland’s Black Snake last September. Yet another dose of melody and raw power, offering a nod to the golden old schools of heavy 70s and 80s pre-thrash metal. - Heavy Planet
