Influenced by the jolting energy of the Specials, the Selector’s edged lyrics, and Elvis Costello‘s love of melody, the group cranks out short, catchy tunes that usually have a deeper meaning. New EP "Doom Garden" out May 9 on Bad Time Records. They’ve been active since 2023, with the release of their debut album Runaway via Double Helix Records. They’ve also appeared on compilations for Punk Rock Saves Lives, Attention! By Wiretap Records, “Distort The Bay” by Destroy Art Inc. “Pee Approved” by Pee records AU and others. The band has toured all over California, Portland and more, establishing themselves as a regional touring band with more plans to expand in 2025. The Details have notably played alongside Fishbone, Swingin’ Utters, The Meteors, The Last Gang, The Drowns, and many more. They've also played the original "Emo Nite" in Hollywood, CA. The band prides themselves on their work ethic, advocacy for mental health awareness, and just being a really solid rock band, featuring an adept attention to “details" in every aspect of their work. They released a cover of the '80s classic "Maniac" with Wiretap Records. Following Maniac, their first original single in two years, "Take Me Alive" channels a stadium sound, with production from Scott Goodrich (The Story So Far). In 2026, they have a new single slated for release in January with a follow up to "Runaway" coming shortly behind. |
