They’re here for those who wake up with last night’s eyeliner still on, who find poetry in the chaos, and who turn the volume up instead of toning it down. For those who love bands that don’t hold back, Alvie & the Breakfast Pigs have something to offer. They don’t chase trends, they carry the torch! We left our hometown of Phoenix in 2015. We landed in San Francisco, hoping to plant roots in the legendary music scene we had heard so much about. We arrived at a time when many artists were fleeing to cheaper pastures as tech companies dominated the city. Ridiculous rent and crazy high prices were not enough to break our spirits. And then…COVID-19 happened. We went on tour in February 2020, then didn’t play a show for a year and a half. But dammit, WE’RE STILL HERE and we’re not taking anything for granted. The Breakfast Pigs are hitting it hard on big-time stages while also working on our next 5 Singles coming out in 2025. Today, the Breakfast Pigs are one of the last remaining rock bands in the city, and we’re not going anywhere. The Breakfast Pigs appeared on stages scross the country like South by Southwest (Austin), Underground Music Showcase (Denver), Balanced Breakfast (San Francisco), Patiyochella (Oakland), Music City Songwriters Festival (SF), TreasureFest (SF), Alternative Tentacles Mosswood Meltdown After Party (Oakland) and alongside such acts as White Denim, Authority Zero, Sam Chase & the Untraditional, The Dirty Few, The Happys, No Small Children, Autonomics, and The Yawpers. The city’s musical pedigree is as rich and pure as it gets, with countless San Francisco bands becoming bonafide global legends. Treasures, while not quite global legends yet, are certainly well on their way to being added to the pantheon of legendary San Francisco bands. Galvanized by an insatiable hunger to play rock & roll, singer-songwriter Jack Friel, and drummer Bobby Franz, formed Treasures in 2019. Ultimately adding guitarist Corey Largent and bassist Raoul Aguilera to the mix, the newly formed outfit spent the pandemic lockdown writing and recording demos. Those demos reached the ears of producer Mikel Ross (Corrosion of Conformity) and engineer Travis Kasperbauer (The Go-Go’s) who immediately recognized what they’d found and promptly put the band in a pro studio environment. The bands’ first LP, Gold Rush City, delivered what many refer to as a “modern classic”, lush with memorable hooks and melodic passages that surprised and delighted modern and classic rock lovers alike. Currently recording and mixing songs for a brand new, full length album to be released throughout 2025, Treasures has become a shit hot rock & roll band, selling out local shows across the city, continuing to define their vision of a contemporary Rock experience.
