Born of a songwriting partnership cultivated by lead singer/keyboardist Chris Beachy and guitarist/singer Charlie Glick during their college years, Sure Sure officially formed when the pair moved to Los Angeles to join up with drummer Kevin Farzad and producer/mix engineer Michael Coleman in 2014. The band released three beloved home-cooked albums and toured successfully as both a headline act and supporting bands like Young the Giant, Hippo Campus, and Half Alive. The onset of the pandemic saw the departure of some of the original members to pursue new passions and creative pursuits. As of September 2024, Chris continues Sure Sure as a vehicle for songwriting and homemade recordings. Sure Sure songs will always be deeply personal to him as they recount his life and experiences. Chris has set his sights on creating a new Sure Sure album for 2025, as well as bringing back the Sure Sure live experience. Love you guys, thanks for listening - Chris Matt Jaffe -from San Francisco, CA -After cutting his teeth on open mics around the Bay Area, San Francisco songwriter Matt Jaffe was discovered by Jerry Harrison of Talking Heads. Together, they produced his first album at the age of 16, cementing Matt's dedication to music. Soon, he formed a band, dropped out of college and has not looked back. Since then, Matt has cowritten with Tom Higgenson of Plain White T’s, toured with Blues Traveler and Wilco, and continued to write and record at a blistering pace. He has also served as musical director for experimental theater, collaborated with poets on genre-bending spoken word, and curated residencies among fellow songwriters. Having had seizures since 2015, Matt also uses his music to unite local and national epilepsy communities. He is on the cusp of releasing his ninth album, Station Eleven. Indigo Elephant -from Oakland, CA -In writing their first studio album, The Art of Erosion, Indigo Elephant spent all of 2024 rediscovering what it meant to be a band. Composed of Julius Pasion (drums), Cliff Yang (guitar), and Brenden Phung (guitar, synth), the group crafted a project that represented each member as openly as possible—smashing all their desires together and making sense of the madness. Within that chaos lies vulnerability, and sometimes even understanding. The Art of Erosion holds all the uncertainty, introspection, and bittersweet feelings of a tumultuous year, capturing a moment in time where tension and release came in equal measure. While Indigo Elephant has been together for nearly eight years, the band sees the end of one era as the beginning of another. With the addition of new member Levi Storm (bass), they’re taking their first steps toward what truly feels like their sound. |
