Their signature sound blends thunderous guitars, crushing bass, and soaring 2 and 3-part harmonies—classic rock power with modern finesse. It’s heavy but not metal, catchy but never soft. Founded by Jamie Cronander (current Combichrist) and the one and only Matt Stewart, the band took shape with the additions of powerhouse vocalist Tony Malson and guitar slinger Snake Green (Skinlab, Re-ignition). Their chemistry ignited fast, landing them on iconic Bay Area stages like Slims, DNA Lounge, and The Fillmore, alongside legends like Skid Row, Three Days Grace, and John Corabi. Their debut album Longer Ride Down dropped in 2015, hitting #7 on CMJ’s Hard Rock chart, with singles “Black Hand” and “Empty Rooms” making waves. In 2017, Randy Rice joined as a permanent drummer, locking in the lineup. 2019 saw the release of the venerable sophomore album – “Burning Beauty”. After a wild ride of lineup changes and global chaos, TDIC entered a new era mid-pandemic by adding Stephen Lynch (Swamphammer, He Who Greets with Fire) and Chuck Howell (Burn River Burn). That crew released the self-titled record in 2023. The most recent addition, on bass guitar, was Kevin Amann (Astrozombies, The Ghost Next Door) earlier this year. Now…the band is complete, recharged, and ready to rumble. Album #4 is almost complete and is set to be tracked at the world-famous Plant Studios this February! Git ready. The Devil marches on. With Gary Wendt on vocals and guitar, Aaron Asghari on guitar, Noah Whitfield on bass, and Seb Castelain on drums, solid songwriting and musical diversity are at the core of The Ghost Next Door’s sound.
