Sloppy Seconds
-from Indianapolis, IN
-Now long acknowledged as the undisputed Kings of Junk Rock, Sloppy Seconds has spent many years relentlessly trudging the alleys and gravel roads leading to their dumpster dynasty. The band's story began at a weekend-long house party when singer B.A., bassist Bo'ba Jam, drummer Steve Sloppy, and guitarist Roadkill set down their beers long enough to massacre a few cover tunes (hence the name Sloppy Seconds) and wake up their neighbors. After a short spell honing their original material and live intensity, the Sloppys released the amazing debut album "Destroyed" to the world. With each new release they have carved out a niche that targets themes close to their hearts: porn stars, parties, junk food, TV re-runs, beer blasts, comic books, strippers, B-Movies, 70's nostalgia, 80's cynicism, and 90’s complacency, finally spilling their trashy philosophy into every crevice and gutter of the 21st century. After a split from their original guitarist in 1993, the band promptly enlisted Ace "Spice" Hard-where, who brought not only an impressive Ramones/Cheap Trick guitar style to their sound, but also a manic stage presence to their live shows. Blasting out a suburban soundtrack for the class clowns and couch potatoes of the world, Sloppy Seconds effortlessly cross over cultural boundaries with songs full of relatable moments and funny observations. And if their songs don't reflect your lifestyle, don't bother changing the record; you’ll have more fun changing your lifestyle. Now with numerous recordings and countless live performances in their wake, Sloppy Seconds continues to spread the Junk Rock gospel to the corners of the world. Now more than ever, it’s a crusade we all need.
