By uniting the familiar and future through anthemic songs and a dynamic live show, The Hot Takes promise to call you to the dance floor with your fist in the air. The DisRespectors -from San Francisco, CA -San Francisco’s Mission District doesn’t fit one specific categorization. At times it is colorful and festive…other times dark and gritty. The DisRespectors are a reflection of the Mission’s contrasting imagery and sounds. Carrying on a tradition of excellence in Bay Area punk rock, The DisRespectors evoke the surf guitar edginess of Dead Kennedys, the frenetic catchiness of Operation Ivy, and the arena-style anthems of Green Day. When going to see The DisRespectors, be prepared to sing, sweat and shake away the night Neon Ships -from Oakland, CA -Neon Ships are Nora McCurdy (Vocals), Nicholas Hull (Guitar), Lilla Katalin (Bass), and Sydney Ray (Drums). When punk scene veterans Ray and Hull found themselves without a vocalist in the dog days of the pandemic, fate stepped in as Oakland based singer and performer McCurdy, found herself in search of a band. Recently adding Katalin into the mix, their sound melds energetic punk inspired drums with driving bass lines, cutting guitar leads, and Nora's massive vocals to forge something truly unique. The group has been featured on the Block Vinyl Anthology Project, KALX 90.7FM, and can be found performing throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. |
