They hammer out an angry, yet danceable set of songs, with lyrics that range from protesting the inhumane practice of locking children in cages, to love songs in honor of Goddesses that demand blood sacrifices. They will get your feet moving, and your heart pumping! The Ink Bats -from Oakland, CA -Andrej Pavarotten: drums and vocals Josie Dot: rhythm guitar and vocals Davey Bones (Dead Souls): bass Rodney Horihata (ex-Chrome): lead guitar Sig Hafstrom: keys and vocals Vague Lanes -from Alameda, CA -Vague Lanes is a San Francisco Bay Area darkwave project built around the stark interplay of bass guitars, driving drum machines, and sparse synth textures. Founded by Mike Cadoo (Gridlock, Bitcrush) and now featuring new four string bassist Rich Williamson (Jack Killed Jill, The Bonstones), the band crafts a distinctive sound that fuses post-punk austerity, darkwave atmosphere, and the weighted rhythms of industrial music into a brooding, bass-driven landscape. Since emerging with their 2021 debut EP, Vague Lanes has continued to evolve its layered low-frequency approach while maintaining the stark, machine-driven pulse that defines its music. |
