Various tracks on compilations came first, leading to the Kill Rock Stars single "These Monsters Are Real" and then the 1994 LP Calculated, after which the Chainsaw label seven-inch "Direction" appeared and the band split, though Tucker would later achieve widespread recognition as the leader of Sleater-Kinney.
