Maus Haus
-from San Francisco, CA
-Maus Haus returns to the stage for the first time in 8 years “for one night only” at Bottom of the Hill.

Starting as a casual bedroom-recording experiment among friends in various San Francisco indie projects, Maus Haus first released a free 5-song CD-R on MySpace in 2007; the contents of which were gloriously strange pop-collage fever dream, and the humble EP made its way onto KALX’s regular rotation, charting at #1, and convincing the group to form a live band. It also formed the foundation of what became their critically acclaimed 2008 debut, Lark Marvels, which remains startlingly fresh: wild synths, organic rhythms, infectious hooks, and weirdness packed into every second. Follow-up albums Sea-Sides (2010) and Light Noise (2012) sharpened the band’s focus without taming their unpredictability or off-kilter pop instincts. From 2008–2013, Maus Haus played more than 100 dates across North America and 50+ Bay Area shows, sharing stages with Black Moth Super Rainbow, Autolux, !!!, Wavves, Tycho, Dengue Fever, Thee Ohsees, and Generationals. They appeared at Treasure Island Music Festival, SXSW, Noise Pop Festival, Treefort, and CMJ. SF Weekly awarded the band “Best New Synth Rockers” in their annual Best of the Bay 2009. Their music has found its way into TV, indie films, NPR bumpers, snowboarding videos, and other media; earned college and international radio play. In 2018, Danger Mouse released their single “High School” through his 30th Century Records label.

Band members past and present will join for this singular musical experience.

Battlehooch
-from San Francisco, CA
-San Francisco’s Battlehooch defies the calculus of sound. By cross-pollinating elements of psychedelia with modern pop, the six piece have given birth to a mutant strain of kaleidoscopic rock and roll.

Otoliths
-from Oakland, CA
-Otoliths is a post-punk band from Oakland-based and Chicago-raised musician, Tom Smith. Smith has been a member of Smokin' Ziggurats, Office, Mazes, Social Studies, Silverware, and a sideman in Abracadabra. For fans of Sic Alps, Cairo Gang, and Cleaners from Venus, Otoliths "Lithos" attempts to meet the absurdity of the moment with indelible melody and hook-laden guitar.
